Absolutely fucking pissed me off that it was not on Versus last night. It "said" it was supposed to be on, but no. They had to show some tough guy show.

Vs. made sure you had hockey to watch all year and because they did not show the awards show you hate them?

Wow, I was thankful for them this year.

All year? Where the fuck were you? They showed a MAXIMUM of 2 games per week. Plus, there were some situations that it "said" it had a game and something else was on. That's complete bullshit!

And BTW, I've said all year long that I hate Versus. The NHL needs to go back to ESPN. I would like to be able to go out to eat AND watch the game.

Plus, when it says they are going to show something and then turn around and not show it is also complete bullshit!

Well ESPN decided not to pick the NHL up... so Vs. did. And 2 games a week is better than no games at all.

Oh well...

Holy fuck!! Why would you promote a show if you couldn't even get it in the first place? And then turn around and show it later and tell no one! There was nothing to let people know that. People were tuning in when they said it would be on and there was nothing to tell them otherwise. HUGE BLACKEYE TO VERSUS!!!

Oh, by the way, ESPN didn't "decide" to not pick up the NHL, the NHL set the price so high that ESPN thought it wouldn't be worth it to pick up. HUGE BLACKEYE TO THE NHL!!!!

I liked the NHL on ESPN... Bill Clement and Gary Thorne are untouchables! However, ESPN would rather show 35 million hours of poker (the "S" in ESPN stands for Sports, right) and bore the masses into sleep than put ice hockey back on. ABC/ESPN are one in the same really. It is a shame that ABC/ESPN wouldn't put up the $$$ to provide hockey coverage.

lq - I whole-heartedly agree with you about Versus thing. What a crock of crap that is/was.

Unfortunately, there is no other option for us thanks to ESPN - bastards!

Well, we don't even get 2 games a week...but that was because we don't get VS.

to me, it beats not having hockey to watch at all... oh well...

Get the hockey package, Center Ice, from your cable or sat company. There was games on almost every night.

I tried, but being a "techno" junkie and not having a home phone means no hockey package for me. I can't justify paying, or afford, (whatever the cost is for basic phone service) plus the cost of Center Ice.

Does anyone know if CBS or FOX put in a bid to show NHL hockey?
