Eh if you're making everyone happy you're probably doing something wrong.

You know I looked at the Omaha roster a couple times and Tye Lewis never clicked. Hmm. but yeah I see his name now.

Yeah I don't think I saw Greco anywhere and speed's a problem. A couple times he looked unfocused out there. I figured he'd come back to be a top line option here instead of a fourth liner in the USHL.

Curry played something like 8 games with the Bobcats. Here's to hoping a year's a huge difference.

Curry has spent the better part of the last two years sitting in the stands in various Jr. A cities. 11 games in the USHL two years ago, 8 games in the NAHL last year before going back to midgets. The year before the USHL he was in the CSHL and was an average player, probably around 25 points, but young at that time.

greko not listed on any of the rosters i have, i assume he wasn't there.

i only have 7 def on my list and they will need to work a trade for kranz. no big hitters in this group but good speed and puck control. young swede handled physical play ok and is a good skater. denney a converted from center couple years back so he sees ice well and can add some scoring and was last def cut from indy ice.

forwards will have lots of speed but young. zielinski has good scoring touch and pretty decent hitter. prost good forecheck and will force some turnovers and good assist guy.

i will leave the goalie assessment for others to address.

Blues roster

Were there any returning vets that were cut? Lack of scoring was a problem last year and why 3 goalies?

KC Krantz was traded to Springfield in exchange for goalie Garrett Tinkham.

I kinda hated him when he came here and for the first half of the season but he started to grow on me finally in that stretch run. Was hoping he could make the jump too. Oh well -- maybe there's another camp -- after all Cedar Rapids concentrated on defense during the draft.

How'd he at least look?

This Chicago Young American guy -- Josh Nardella -- any relation to Frank and Bob Nardella? I'd assume so...

Zobak is playing for the bay state breakder of the ej league. If he's a physical stay at home dman he'll thrive there.

Good for him. Smackles you are repulsive hating a player and admitting it on a blog. What a fart.

I just heard that Greco is trying out for the Fargo Force (USHL).
They have an open camp the end of August. If he doesn't make it there, I think he'll end up with the Blues since they still own his NAHL rights.

Was checking out the rosters for the Chowder Cup, and noticed Rob Dongara's junior team is Springfield. Dongara was a futures pick of Sioux City before being released and drafted in May by DM. I don't think he made their all-star game.

Blues have two open spots...Dongara might slotted for one of them??

Well, this topic is about the Blues roster news. I guess noticing Dongara is on it pertains to the topic, does it not?

Uhm what?

Ok, one -- its obvious you're a troll. I mean you kind of use it as your screen name. I'd rather just ignore you but I'm willing to make the mistake once again.

Second, this is a message board. Not a blog.

Thirdly, I didn't realize we all needed to like every player on our team or other teams, hold hands, sing kumbaya, and just have a love fest.

I even admit Zobak played a lot better as the season went on. I'm not entirely sure he was worth Plocar in some cases but he got better. I thought he didn't play well, or as well as he could have, early in the year. Just calling it how I saw it. Not sure why it touches anyone's -- especially yours -- nerves.

So are southern minny fans not to express there dislike for Ami Paled here? Is it replusive to say that kid possibly was one of the worst players in the entire league all season? Do we really need to pat him on the back and say good job, don't forget your helmet Ami...

I don't see why on a message board we can't express our opinions on certain players if they're negative. This is the second time someone's been stupid enough to make this kind of claim. I say enough positive things about the kids in this league -- be there for Springfield or North Iowa or Topeka or elsewhere. I'll also say bad things, if I felt they need to be said, about players. I hardly see the replusiveness in that.

Big whoop, really.

And hell, in other topics I did praise his play late in the season. Him and Paine I thought played very strongly down the stretch. I even said in the post you quoted (and apparently you decided not to read the entirity of it -- which is odd because its the first line in the damn post) that I wished him luck moving on elsewhere, perferably to the USHL. The EJHL isn't a bad option either but there's little argument he would have rather made it to the USHL.

So I kindly ask you -- shut up.

As for Dongara, I'm not sure I want someone that didn't make the Bucs...but sounds good when I googled him. If he comes here that's awesome but rather would grab a defense man over a speedy winger right now.

I hope Greco comes back. The paper, prior to camp, made it sound like he was going to be on the roster. Eh things change. I want to see him take another shot at the USHL but won't be complaining if he's back here in September.

Guess I'm going to have to become a Breakers fan. I went to their website and surprise to me figure out where Mike Crowder's playing next year.

Gonna miss him dearly but hopefully I can figure out some way to keep up with the Breakers during the year.

And fangers, Mihalek appears to be their goalie too.

....now just got to figure out where Chris Gentile's off to. Paper didn't even mention him as one of the players not returning.
