ECHL Interested in Bentonville Arkansas for 2008

Chris Talley of Ar Sports and Entertainment Park LLC said Tuesday that he had recieved a letter from Commissioner Brian McKenna that the ECHL would like to locate a franchise in Bentonville, Ar. to begin play in the 08-09 season.
The new franchise is contingent on Talley and group building its proposed 43 million dollar arena near NW Regional Airport. The facility is proposed to seat 8000 and would fit the leagues requirements very nicely.
Talley owns the Memphis Mojo of the American Indoor Soccer League.
Talley has also talked with the CHL about a franchise, but rumors have the Greenville (S.C.) Grrrowl, which has folded and is affiliated with the NHL Edmonton Oliers and Chicago Blackhawks, being sold and moved to Bentonville.

Greenville has not folded -- reports of their death (even from their ownership) were premature. The City threw in a package of rent reductions/deferrals, and ownership put in enough money to get them going for at least next season.

I thought Global/ICC were the ones looking at the Bentonville arena?

The league Revoked the membership of Greenville at the governors meetings.
