Hey there. I'm not dead - I just smell that way. Actually, I have been keeping an eye on the 'Rattler, but frankly all of the bullshit gets old (though it does seem to be getting a bit better as the new season draws closer). JT is correct that the Kid is no longer playing Jr., but I still know a bunch of hoodlums in the NAHL (including WF) and USHL so I do plan on catching games in person and on B2 when I have some time. I hope that the 'Cats and some form of the Tornado survive down in TX (great rivalry and all), but the economics of sports in general are tough when the general economy sucks as it does now, and hockey is particularly thin on margin due to significant overhead costs. At least there is enthusiastic local (partial-)ownership in WF (if not an overwhelming fan base...) which might give the team a fighting chance if other regional teams survive or are added. The NAHL seems to be always in flux - much more so than the USHL.
Anyway, best of luck to the 'Cats (and the NAHL) in the upcoming season. it should, as always, be entertaining.
PS - to those contributors to GR (you know who you are) who continue to respond to mentally challenged posters (you should know who you are, but apparently don't) with totally un-creative, excessively vulgar and assinine name calling, can you give it a rest, please? Just ignore the idiots and it will stop (it goes both ways). Really. Give it a try.
