My grandfather fought in WWII in France, (if you know your history you'll understand), He died 12 yrs. later fighting in Korea. My father fought in Vietnam, I served 4 yrs. in the Navy and was in the Gulf during Desert Storm in '91, My son is 19 yrs. old and in the Air Force and has a ship date to Iraq in January. So I am very aware that this year could be the last holidays that I spend with my son. It IS a possibility. As a father, I don't want him to have to go. But as an American who IS his father, I am very proud of him.

So when you open your mouth a spew that garbage, you're shitting on 4 generations of my family and hundrerds of thousands of men and women who have fought and died to PROVIDE you that right. So until you find a cause that you're willing to grab a rifle stand up and DIE for, you haven't EARNED that right. I HAVE earned it, and anyone else who has ever put on a uniform with an American flag on it. WE EARNED IT,WE GAVE it to you, and you piss and shit on it.

You don't deserve the rights you have, and I KNOW you're not a big enough person to say thank you, but you're welcome anyway.

my father is a ww2 veteran of the army air corp. i am a vietnam combat veteran. my son is an airforce pilot of 12 years with MANY deployments to iraq and afghanistan.
you don't get to lecture me about devotion to and sacrifice for country. nor do you get to use that as an excuse for a war that was started behind a bunch of politically motivated lies and which has unecessarily killed over 4k us troops and hundreds of thousdands of innocent iraqis.
if you want to measure the worth of your family's military service by w's bullshit iraq war, more power to you. i won't do it. and none of it will change the FACTS about the iraq war.

I figured you were just some snot nose little kid that was too young and stupid to know any better, but I guess I was wrong. If you are TRULY a Vietnam veteran that means your atleast mid 50-s to 60 yrs. old. and HAVE worn the flag and HAVE earned the rights to your opinion.
