This is not Laredo's year. They lost another guy with a broken toe from getting hit by a puck during the all-star game. Meanwhile the goalie who had carried them early has been called up to the AHL and is likely to finish out the season there.
Given how obnoxious Laredo's fans are, some other teams' fans in the south can't help but grab the violins and try not to chuckle too loud.
