New NBA Team Oklahoma City may favor CHL team's name!

NBA team name: The Seattle Supersonics relocated to Oklahoma City and speculation has it that the team will be called the

Oklahoma City Thunder!

The team will play in the 19,163-seat Fabulous Ford Center in Downtown Oklahoma City. The Ford Center will undergo improvements, as voters in OKC approved a 1 cent sales tax extention of the MAPS for KIDS for $120 million in March of this year.

Regardless of the source, do not believe internet registrations. When the name is registered with the Trademark office (use the TESS search at uspto.gov), then I'll believe it.

I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a diversion just to get all the potential trademark/cyber squatters to relax thinking the name has been decided.
