Looks like Mark Frankenfeld doesnt like the Roadrunners. Hahahaha. 2 trips to Alaska and one to Wenatchee. The only team besides wenatchee to travel to Alaska besides Roadrunners is Wichita Falls and I believe they do it twice as well with an additional ass kicker to Wenatchee. I dont see any Northern or Central Division teams that have to do it. Not one. I would love to hear Mark's explanation to Topeka and Wichita's owner on how this can be justified. Why wouldnt St Louis go, maybe once? Somethin stinks as usual.

Maybe MF can not see the value of a balanced schedule. This is just another weighted schedule towards keeping the buddies happy. Too many cry babies in the owners club. I've heard from way too many sources about some owners saying they will NEVER go to Alaska. Well, well. Not even once every three years? That's the way to show your a--.

That's ok Rob. Another four teams and you guys can do your own thing, and then force the winners of the Robetrson Cup to another weekend of hockey.

I would like to know who voted yes for franchises like Wenatchee and Alaska teams. Did the ones who said yes say yes but I will never travel there. Or did they say yes but Topeka and Wichita will be the only one to have to bite that financial bullet for travel. It wouldnt suprise me if the commish was worried about trivial matters such as a few unruly fans. The NAHL should be worrying about much larger issues. Like lets get a real commissioner to run the league.

Slab,
Alaska (well Fairbanks anyway) came along with the other AWHL teams. The need for more Alaska teams was the result of the baloney from the NAHL teams. The league approved the move to Alaska (Wasilla Spirit which became the Alaska Avalanche) for the Springfield,Mo team to reduce costs. Kenai River and the Wetchie Wild goes futher into that direction. Inside sources confirm a new team for Anchorage for the 09-10 season, along with another NW team.

I'm not sure it is all that major of a financial bullet for the teams traveling up there. I think the Alaska teams pick up most of the cost of going up there.

Its kind of funny though. I have a feeling that many people who think Topeka and Wichita Falls are getting screwed by having to go play Wenatchee and Alaska might be saying that Topeka got lucky by getting to play a weaker schedule when all is said and done. Of course it is hard to tell how the teams will shake out, but if I had to choose between playing extra games against Alaska and Wenatchee instead of St. Louis and Springfield, I'll take the trip up North.

Kev,
Not too sure about weaker... Both the Bears and Avs should be stronger, and the Wild have the fortune to cherrypick Americans that fail to make the BCHL rosters. Not to mention the players from the NORPAC that would rather not pay to play. The Wild could do wonders for themselves by going heavy with the 19s & 20s.

Travel costs?? The deal is $7,500 that the visiting team has to pay. The rest is paid for by the Alaska teams. That is the rest of everything. Air and Ground Travel, Food, & Rooms. Not sure what the deal is going to be for Wetchie, butr I would assume, something along the same lines.

The Avs and Bears could be tougher this year, and Wenatchee could be good as well, but if you had to choose between playing teams like Springfield and St. Louis or teams like Alaska, Wenatchee and Kenai River - I think most teams would rather play the latter.

Like I said, you never know how the teams will turn out. The teams in the West may be every tough this year, and teams like St. Louis and Springfield might drop off a bunch. That stuff happens all the time in sports. My hunch is that it won't happen, but it could.

HEY TOPEKER DUMB FUCK. I am not a cop, just repeated what the employees of the establishment said. I know it is difficult for you to grasp that simple concept. For all I know they did file charges and arrested someone. Or maybe they wrote it off as a business loss. I don't know, nor do I care. I just repeated what was said to me. The guy had no reason to lie, he just was making small talk when he saw my son's T-shirt from the Nationals on it. So try to read carefully DUMB FUCK.... no report needed or coming, just try to continue to turn your ignorant fans actions into another ignorant statement. Hope your boys enjoy those two long trips to Alaska while we are playing 100 miles away in Springfield. LOL! Poke Eye

Just curious but... in this day of electronic check transactions, what kind of place does not have this, or telechek that does basically the same thing. If a place does not have this, why take an "out of state" check? Sounds like BS to me.

I noticed on a few occasions some teams are scheduled to play two different opponrts. No I'm not talking about the US team either.

I also noted that Bismarck has no non-divisional games other than the showcase.

That is pretty much how the North was last year. I think other than St. Louis and one other team (Alexadria?), none of the teams played outside the division other than at the showcase.

Stephen that's exactly what it is, some B/S he/she made up. We've asked him/her on many occasions to tell us what establishment he/she was refering to, so we could make it up to them if something did indeed happen, and to this day he/she hasn't told us. First it was several of us skipped out on several checks amounting to a lot of money and the cops were called and arrests made, but yet we couldn't find any Chesterfield Police reports. Then he/she changed his/her mind and it became a couple of us skipped out on checks and the cops were called and he/she didn't know if arrests were made, and yet we still couldn't find any reports by the Chesterfield Police. Then it became someone from the establishment told him about something and now he/she doesn't know exactly what happened and isn't sure if a Police Report was filed or not. Oh yeah, now that establishment may have just written it off as a "Business Loss". It's funny how this story keeps changing.

Oh yeah, give the name of the establishment to the idiots like you on this board. Rolling Eyes That would be real bright, god only knows what you will do next time to the place. Evil or Very Mad

Let me give you a hint, if you don't like to look like idiots, the next time don't be drunken fools like you were at Nationals. It was a complete embarrassment. Obviously, the Topeker fans behavior didn't change much after they left the rink. Sorry if your actions here were deplorable, but don't be pissed at me because of your actions! Rolling Eyes
