Northern All-Star starters...

The 2006 CHL All-Star Game has been awarded to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the City of Hidalgo. The game will be played on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006, with details added as available.



The starting line-up for the 2006 Central Hockey League Northern Conference All-Stars will be: F Joe Blaznek (Wichita Thunder), F Jeff Christian (Youngstown SteelHounds), F Greg Pankewicz (Colorado Eagles), D Derek Landmesser (Memphis RiverKings), D Brad Williamson (Colorado Eagles), and G Paulo Colaiacovo (Colorado Eagles). Balloting among Northern Conference coaches, communications staff and selected media members in each city determined the three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender named to the starting line-up. The remainder of the All-Stars will be announced on Tuesday, January 3rd, as selected by Northern Conference Coach Chris Stewart of the Colorado Eagles, in conjunction with the CHL’s Hockey Operations Department. The 2006 CHL All-Star Game, presented by Obra Homes, is slated for Wednesday, January 18th at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, home of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees

I'm disturbed that Pankewicz is a starter. Sure, it can be argued that he's "the best player" in the CHL, but he really hasn't been much of an "All-Star" this year.
