I'd like to donate a few capital letters and punctuation marks to you.
I'd still rate Scott Stevens as the best leader the NHL has had. Mark Messier, as much as I hate him, would be second, Yzerman third.
And even though Yzerman is a great leader, he's old. The entire team is getting up there in age. He, Chelios, Shanahan, and others won't be around much longer. They have some good young players, but let's be serious. Yzerman, Chelios, and Yzerman are on their last legs, Schneider is up there in age, even Lidstrom has talked about retiring and going back to Sweden. Out of 23 players on the roster listed on Yahoo, 9 of them are 34 or older (Chelios, Cross, Draper, Lang, Lidstrom, Schneider, Shanahan, Wooley, and Yzerman).
This is a team on the decline.

Good way to look at it. Just better hope they make the right changes soon.
