The tryouts in a week or so would be a good place to get the marketing machine (oooo I hate to even type that word) rolling. Media coverage of the tryouts, sell some new merchandise, have a get together in the parking lot for the people who stepped up to invest in the team, show these players trying out that Owatonna CAN be a great place to further their hockey careers.

TRW,

I assume you know me, therefore, since I don't know who you are I must not be included when you say "friends".

My friends know who I am as well. The big difference here is that I am not afraid to let those who don't share my views to know who I am.

Well, that's enough discussion with a wall. I prefer to know who I am talking to.

Anyway, I am looking forward to the tryouts. I can't wait to see these new names on the ice and findout who makes the team. It will be good to see the junior fans back in the rink. I hope that many of you are going to help out at the camp.

This is what the real wells said on April 24th.

"We will be traveling to watch NAHL hockey to Albert Lea next season. There will not be any hockey here in Owatonna next season. Dead deal. "

At least IT got the first part is right!

Wow....I have to chime in here. You guys have to realize that alot of this crap posted here is read by players and parents of players who one day very soon might hope to play for this franchise. If I am a young player who has been approached by Coaches Cullen and Fink to think about playing here and I am not quite sure what type of town this is and what kind of support do the fans bring each night, well, I am not too sure about this opportunity. I would certainly have to wonder after reading this thread. Everyone of you O-town citizens who post here have a chance to help your town and this team out. Why not take advantage of it?

Signed,

A parent of a player who is considering playing here next season. Confused

Huh? Well get ready for bickering day in and out and our little town is just that : Little; and gossip spreads like weeds on a sunny day.

Watch who you billet with, dont pick one that is an owner/donator. Dont pick one that has more than 1 kid . Hope he likes subway and pizza!

Playing for the Express

You think tenders and draft picks aren't showing up for a reason? Or do you think they decided to play golf instead?
You think the last ownership group left for no reason?
You think the first ownership group who was experienced in Jr A hockey, pro hockey, has had teams in the NAHL, BCHL and now USHL, sold it after 2 years for no reason?

Players are not committed until they play an official NAHL game unless they are tenders or drafts. There are numerous NAHL teams desperate for talent.

Answering your question:

Reminds of the old cheech and chong skit: mmmmm smells like dog chit.... taste....mmmmm tastes like do chit.
Geez, I wonder what it could be.

Great place to play. Lovely people, lovely town, they all love each other as evidenced on this thread. The billets will feed your son, and welcome him into a loving beautiful place. Some even call Owatonna the Garden of Eden. In fact, I think God resides there to watch junior hockey.

Hey, only we are entitled to complain about our town and its loving? people. Go play somewhere else.

PS, the kids do eat alot of subway and pizza and we did feed the player, he just wanted to eat out with their buds and ladies, who can blame them. Laughing

Tryouts done, team picked, not gonna be as good as last years but thats okay, coach needs to work on getting better at picking players and letting his ego deflate so people want to come to play here.
