Penalty for Intent to Injure

First off i think 10 games was an acceptable penalty for Fleck under the current rules of the game. However, should the league take some time to look at possibly changing the rules for next year.


Should a successful attempt be looked at differently than an unsuccessful attempt? If you are actually able to injure the player I think the league should have some provisions for a longer suspension. If Clayton is out 2 weeks he'll miss 6 games. If he misses 18 days he'll miss 9 games while fleck will sit 10 total no matter how long Clayton is out. Should the league make the penalty for the injury equal time plus a set ammount of games in addition for the actual attempt?
