This will be Bettman's Waterloo.
If MSG is kicked out as owners, where will the Rangers play? I hope they do try to give Dolan the boot. He'll come back with another lawsuit that would be more damaging to the NHL. Maybe then the owners will realize that Bettman's dictatorial treatment of this issue and others really isn't good for the game and he'll be the one gone instead. Frankly, I don't see why every team's website has to be exactly the same or why Gary is getting in such a huff over it.
If Bettman wins, the NHL controls everything that happens on the websites and all team related information will be directed and dictated by the NHL. Do you like the thought of that? I know I don't. Let the teams decide what's news and what isn't, what they want to promote and what they don't.
The issue really comes down to whether Bettman is the most arrogant prick alive or just the dumbest. I cannot see this being a win for the NHL even if he succeeds in this pursuit. There's only going to be degrees of losing for him. But also the Dolan family seems like equally arrogant, stubborn, moronic pricks. It's going to come down to who blinks first.
