I know some people in Dallas are not happy about this, but I think this is just what they need, nice job by Hull!!

I'm not too happy about it-- Avery is one of my least favorite players in the NHL.

Time will tell how good a move it was. The last thing the Stars need is a guy causing a stink in the Locker room. I have read that Avery has the ability to agitate his own teammates as well as the opponents. We shall see.

They got Pushkarev. Stars dont have much cap room to sign anybody else.

They got Pushkarev. Stars dont have much cap room to sign anybody else.

I thought they had him already, maybe a trade deadline thing?

Pushkarev was part of the Mattias Norstrom trade. They've had him for a while now, just in the AHL.

Scouting reports don't project him to be much though-- they say he's great offensively, but small and inconsistent and terrible defensively. Could be a top 6 forward, but honestly I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, he is on the Stars preseason roster right now but that could change with him being sent back to AHL...again.

The one player I am MOST shocked they let go was Hagman. They should have made every effort to resign him but he wanted more money, which the Stars could not do. I am afraid them not resigning Hagman is gonna hurt them in the scoring dept. I'm assuming they are asking Pusharev to take Hagmans place but that is a HUGE shoe to fill.
