Team Borsheim Update

Wednesday was a big day for us, it was the firstday that Les an I got to go outside on our own. Well, maybe we weren't supposedto go outside, we were told to stay close, but it was such a nice day, wecouldn't resist. That was quite an adventure, and nice for Les to feel moreindependent.

Thursday we went outside again, but this time to the Healing Garden. It is apretty area, hidden between the two buildings, so it is always in the shade,which was nice because it was near 100 degrees. There is a huge rock waterfallfeature that was nice to sit by. The only downside was the bumpy stone path andtrying to maneuver non-automatic doors! I had it down by the end of the daythough!

All week Stacey, the speech therapist has been working HARD with Les to get themuscles in his neck going again so that we can get him eating! She even came inthis weekend to get in some extra sessions before his next evaluation!

Today we went down to get gorgeous patio outside the cafeteria and sat nest tothe waterfall for about an hour. It is so pretty, the sounds are relaxing andyou can feel the cool breeze off the water, Les even dozed off for a bit.

Tomorrow is a big day, the next swallow evaluation. Les is nervous and anxiousand all he can think about is food. We add things he MUST have to the listeveryday, and I cant want to cook him up a smorgasbord of food as soon as he isallowed! Wish him luck!

We still read EVERY comment and check out the website often. It is incredibleto see the comments that keep pouring in everyday and how you all are spreadingthe word to others! Thank you so much for your continued support.

A HUGE thank you to my mom, my best friend and her mom, and my aunt for puttingon a big sale this weekend, with all of the money raised going to Les and I.They put in a tremendous effort and it was a big surprise to me. That HUGEthank you also goes out to the entire community who turned out and participatedto help Les and I and support us through this time. Thank you so much, we loveyou!

Buy a kick ass shirt or one of the kick ass photo's donated from Taos to help Les's recovery so he can walk again.


I did and the shirt's are fucking awesome. Tonight I spilled Jim on it for Les cause me drinks are really really yummy.


Thanks also to Tyler Fleck for taking such great care of Les and the support he is shown for his CHL buddy.

I bought one of those shirts and it rocks.

Tyler Fleck ought to get CHL Man of the Year this year (and maybe for the next how many ever years). What he has done is incredible.
