2 fucking guys signed? Are you kidding me? Hell Odessa has 20! WTF are you waiting for Chief? It better be fucking good. Damn I'm glad I didn't renew this year!

Billadoo don't have time for a hockey team, he's got a pregnant wife keeping him busy. That's like working 3 full time jobs in itself. What do you expect? Oh Jeeez

My problem with not knowing who's going to be on the team next season, is what "incentive" is there for me to get pumped up for? Especailly after the last couple of seasons. What is there to say that this guy won't resign the whole flipin' team from last season and continue down the same path? And why would I want to wait until the end of Sept to find out it'll be another year of the "same ole, same ole".

The next time you post you're pumped up before a season starts will be the first. Why wait for the inevitable, start the complaining now.

BT has a good point though. My husband just went back to work, so I could POSSIBLY budget in season tix, but really can't afford it considering we're just getting caught back up on things.
If we're going to be watching the same kind of hockey this season as the last 2, then buying a ticket when we have extra cash makes more sense. If we will possibly have a team that will produce night in and night out, then I would really like to get a deposit put down now and start making payments or cashing in on the few loans I still have out there.

Granted I do realize that until the season gets underway there's no guarantee what kind of team we'll be watching, but the sooner we know who some of the players are, and how many are returning players that we know wont produce on a nightly basis, the sooner we'll be able to decide if season tix are possibly going to be worth what we spend on them.

When they do more than just throw 18 scrubs on the ice, or re-sign the same team that either gets their ass handed them, or gets owned in the first round of the playoffs, then I might get pumped. But so far, from what very little amount of info they've leaked, it's looking like just that. Just re-"scrubbing" this team. But no matter how much you "scrub", you can't clean this turd.

I'm not worried yet. Just waiting for the first sign of toughness (no offense Batty).

I can see why they don't want to, since any young small fast player we sign will suck, whereas if any other team signs a similar player, he'll have good potential.

I am not discriminate. Any time anyone signs a small fast player they suck.

In Austin, it was as simple as spacing out the signings for PR purposes. From around now until October 15, one release a week. As little press as they got, it meant at least a paragraph in the paper and maybe a mention on TV. Announce 10 guys at once and you only get one mention.
