This was blown way out of control...

1. I wish clayton all of the best in a speedy recovery.

2. This whole thing has been blown way out of porportion.

3. i really believe that Tyler had not intention of injuring Clayton.

4. the only thing that hurt Fleck was the fact that he jumps, leaps, or throws his body into opposing players.

5. I truly believe that it was a clean hit. Yes, however he did throw his body into clayton but i DO NOT believe that it was tyler's stick that caused the injuery to clayton.

6. I truely beileve that tyler was making a play and Clayton did not see him coming.

Point being i think 10 games is a bit much. I have seen much worst hits, slashes, boarding, and cheap shots that would call for a suspension for that link of time.

Also, i am sick and tired of hearing about what Simon did a couple years ago. It was a freak accident than and this is a freak accident NOW. I was at the game and i have seen it on reply many times.

I know tyler feels the worst about the whole thing.

Just a fan:
Please do not take this as a personal attack:

It's too bad you're sick and tired of hearing about what Simon did X years (sorry fans memory escapes me on just how many years ago this incident occurred).
However, Simon as you call him did put a players eye out. To my limited knowledge Todd Howarth went blind in said eye because of the INTENTIONAL butt ending to his face.
What this shows IMHO is a pattern of this type of behavior and dirty play under Coach Sauter by OKC players.

My question to you regarding the current incident would be 1) were you at the game and did you see the play OR have you seen a tape of the play?

It is a shame that OKC will result to such tactics when they know that Wichita has the better of them.

That is all.

I have seen alot worst from that man. Tyler went skating towards clayton and hit him. maybe soem of the blame should be placed on cayton for not paying attition to his surroundings????

For starters my apologies in that I did not pick up in your first post that you were at the game.

Doug Shedden's style was certainly physical and could be classified as dirty and with "cheap shots". However, I could also classify these "cheap shots" as clean. No sticks! I would challenge you to bring up an incident involving stick fouls from Shedden coached teams.
The hockey stick is a weapon (not unlike a cross bow) when not used properly. A style that we've seen unfortunately too often from OKC.

Please do not insult yourself by stating that Travis should have been more of aware of his surroundings. Also, if this was a clean hit on Travis, I for one would not have had a problem with no suspension being handed down. I believe the fact that Mr. Fleck (the term Mr. used loosely) given A) A game misconduct for intent to injure and B) A 10-game suspension from the Central Hockey League should be evidence enough even to the most ardent OKC fan that the hit was indeed dirty and involved the stick.

That is all.

Honestly... I truly believe the reason Tyler recieved the 10 games was because his feet left the ice. I am sure clayton is hurting but i also think clayton is acting as well. I have read things saying one side on his face and i have read things saying the other side.. Point being i do not think the 10 games was for the hit i think it was for tyler's feet leaving the ice.

However, Travis acting? C'mon he took 10 stitches and bled all over the ice!

Just a Fan

I am new to this site but I am not new to Hockey. I am not going to chastise people for having their own opinion but, there are 2 types of fans.
1) Just Fans
2) Experienced and knowledgeable Fans that truly understand the game.

I have seen the Blue Angels fly but that doesn't qualify me to be the pilot of one or critique/ praise their actions.

Sorry, but I don't believe, in the least. And here's why (this was brought up on Sport Blitz, this morning); 1) Clayton was on his side of center ice. Fleck is a d-man. D-men don't press that far up ice, when the other team pressing into their zone. 2) Clayton had already passed the puck, up into the Blazer zone, and in no way was in the play. And Fleck, a d-man, was way up the ice. 3) Fleck was behind Clayton before he hit him. Did I mention Fleck is a d-man?

He meant to do what he did. Maybe not exactly the outcome, but he meant to take out Clayton. Now whether he did it on "orders", I have no way of knowing. Wasn't paying attention to the Walrus before that happened. But there is no reason for defenseman should have been that far up ice, without an alterior motive. And if you believe otherwse, you might want to stop by your local Psychiatric center, and have that dementia check. It's really showing in your posts. Rolling Eyes
