As Ron Handy would say, what a waste of skin. Yes, he's cheap, but you get what you pay for. As long as Brad Thompson is on this team, it will continue the inexorable path towards the CHL record for futility.

And can they throw Rob Boyle in along with Thompson, on the bus ticket out of town? He seems to be another common thread of the last two crappy seasons. If he's the one in charge of practices, then it's obvious, with their play during the game, that their practices are shit. These guys are seriously lacking fundamentals, and eventhough it's over half way through the season, they are still lacking endurance.

Thompson is still on this team because he is best friends with the coach "Duda" and the GM "Joel". This season is shot. They will not waived their best friend.

I think you need to add Adamek to that list of folks who deserve a bus ticket.

He's not on the team because of Joel, Joel is alleged to have not wanted him back this season.

Today's Pointstreak:

Wichita 01/24/10 Kovalcik, Chris (D) activated from leave by league
Wichita 01/24/10 Kaleniecki, Brandon (LW) waived
Wichita 01/24/10 Kovalcik, Chris (D) waived

A quick look at some +/- info

Kalenicki +1
Kovalcik -3
Thompson -17

Unless both waived players were leaving on their own accord, this is nonsense.

If Kaleniecki had been healthy all year, wouldn't he probably be your leading scorer?

No, that guy actually quit a few seasons ago. I think he lives in Texas now or something. The new guy kicks ass!

My other question from Saturday nights game was for the self proclaimed "toughest team in the league" was it just me or did the thunder completely get their asses handed to them in the fight department? Not sure we can carry that banner any more.

However, kudos to the team for putting on a show for everyone there. It was nice to see a fight, scrums, facewashing, pride at a hockey game.

...notice how McAllister's black eye looked on that nice new scoreboard?

Some NHL toughness we have, huh?

He's a waste of a spot...I said it early in the season and say it now...he needs to go.
