THE PEOPLE WHO BITCH ABOUT THERE BEING NOTHING TO DO IN THIS TOWN ARE MOST OF THE TIME THE ONES WHO DON'T HELP AND JUST GO TO KC OR WICHITA OR WHEREEVER AND THEN STILL BITCH!

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING SPEAK UP, HELL AT LEAST BOOG HAS SOME CONVICTION THAT HE WANTS PRO OVER JR'S!

AFTER MONTHS OF BUDGETS AND INFORATIONAL MEETINGS WITH SEVERAL LEAGUES AND TEAMS FROM THE USHL TO THE NAHL TO THE WSHL AND SO ON WE STAND FIRM THAT OUR BEST CHANCE FOR QUALITY LONG TERM JR HOCKEY THE NAHL IS THE MOST COST EFFECTIVE AND HAS PLAYERS THAT GET DRAFTED AND GO TO NCAA DI SCHOOLS AS WELL!

WE HAVE TALKED WITH SEVERAL SCHOOLS THAT ARE EXCITED ABOUT THE POSSIBILTY OF TOPEKA GETTING INTO THE NAHL AND THE ABILTY TO RECRUIT HERE AGAIN!

You know Jason, I have no dog in this fight. My interest in Topeka getting hockey again, is in wanting to see the sport in a market with passionate fans who will support a product that is presented to them by a professionally run organization.

I do not know what role you may play in returning hockey to Topeka, but I will tell you this:

Yelling at and insulting people isn't going to get it done. Neither is whining and begging. Your post contained all those.

You may want to rethink that tactic.

Never Know what role I may play in this--- Hell a close friend of mine and his wife and kids visited a few months ago to check out the arena and the city! He is in the farm implament business back home and has the resources to pull it off if the right situation was infront of him, he loved the town and arena. They brought there 2 boys down for the WWE Monday night telecast.

Now it is just convincing his wife to up and go, leave her family there move and take the chance. That is the tuff sell not the arena it is having someone willing to become local ownership, to be a face and answer questions.

You may not relaize how much work has taken place on this because you aren't involved anymore, if you would like to be just watch here for the next meeting anouncement----

Like I said, I have no dog in this fight. I don't even live in the area, nor have I ever been involved in any effort to return hockey to Topeka. But I have seen the passion of those wanting hockey back, plus I know two people formerly involved with one of Topeka's hockey teams and I would like to see the area get another chance and for it to be successful. I just don't want someone getting you so P.O'd that it scares people away.

I know what it's like to lose teams in hockey, baseball and football. It ain't fun.

If you really loved hockey and hockey players, you would not even dream of making them come to Topeka.
