How does it hurt? It could count as a "win" because they get an exhibition against an opponent that is relatively close, so that knocks down the travel $$$, plus maybe plant the seed of interest in the heads of a couple of players.

How is it a "win" for OU? Not being a smartass...just wonderin' how a scrimmage against a Jr A team that hasn't done a whole hell of a lot constitutes a "win".

You're just wondering, enough said....

and yes, you're being a smartass....

it a win win for both teams, as it will draw some positive press for both teams, it gives both teams a chance to see where they stand prior to the season starting, get players some exposure they may not get other wise...heck it's another form of the red river shootout!!!! only frozen.

This is off of their 07-08 roster, but it still gives us an idea of who might be there.

Greg Curtiss and Doug Gebbie played for Helena.

Chris Nicolaou played for Central Texas, North Iowa, Alaska, and of course, the Wildcats.

Jordan Novak and Robert Hetrick played for the Wildcats as well.

Jarrod Yost played for Alaska and North Iowa.

Justin King played for Alpena and the Tornado, where he played with Sean McCauley and Shawn Hayden who are also on OU's roster last year.

Daryl Dee played for Helena and North Iowa.

Dan Siira played for Bismarck.

Sam & JTornado - I thought so but B73 and I couldn't find anything via hockeydb.com or pointstreak to indicate that he did, so that's why I didn't list it.

He came to the TT from Bismark in the middle of the '06/'07 season but did play for Wasilla.

Maybe his name was mis-spelled somewhere, but found this on pointstreak. Hope this helps.

Did I miss it or has no one mentioned that Austin Miller (Tornado, Providence Friars) is anchoring the blueline?

Oh, 6-3 Wildcats...
